Help us reach our goal! PENNY WARS!

We are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone’s life.

So far we have raised $1900! Our goal is $2500. Help us reach our goal! Every penny counts!

THE BEST WAY TO DONATE IS PUTTING MONEY IN THE “PENNY WAR” JARS IN THE LOBBY. REPRESENT YOUR FLOOR AND HELP!

[NYU ALLY WEEK] Take The Pledge (April 11-15)

NYU Ally Week
April 11-15, 2011
We are here to recruit you!
Join us for the first-ever NYU Ally Week!

An ALLY is someone who works as an advocate for an oppressed group to which they may or may not belong.

The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs and the NYU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Student Center in collaboration with the Office of Residential Life & Housing Services and other campus units invite YOU to help create a better NYU!

During the week of April 11th-15th we call on all the NYU students, staff and faculty to PLEDGE TO BE AN NYU ALLY to people of a different race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual belief, ability, gender identity/expression, economic class, or identity than their own.

Stop by the “I’M HERE TO RECRUIT YOU” table in the lobby of our residence hall or booth that will be located in Kimmel Center Lobby from 11-3 pm everyday during Ally Week, where you can receive an “I HAVE BEEN RECRUITED Ally Week” button, participate in the on-line photo campaign (at Kimmel only) and receive tips for being an NYU ALLY!

And, check out the awesome events going on during the week!
